Each year both Granite, and Salt Lake School Districts participate in the Cesar Chavez Creative Expression Celebration & Competition. Students are asked to identify a leader for social justice from their community, state, or country. It can be someone they know personally, or someone they admire. Students are asked to define what cause this person to dedicated to? What id/does this person do to promote or further the cause of justice? How has his or her work positively impacted the lives of others? Each student must answer each of these questions either through their choice of language or visual arts.
