Clara: Salt Lake City Minority Parents Left Out of Principal Selection (Tribune)

As the Salt Lake City School District hired new principals this spring, it wrongly excluded minority parents from the process, a district board member alleges in a complaint to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. Flawed Principal Selection Process for Westside Schools

  At last night’s school board meeting, the board voted to approve the attached list of new principals. Sadly the bureaucracy bypassed parental, teacher and local staff input as per policy.
