Police: Now You See It! Now You Don’t!

At the September 2 & 16 School Board Meeting, school district officials claimed they knew nothing about the police investigating Miss Shirley (Child Nutrition Manager at Uintah). Video of September 2 -Public Denial

On September 19, 2014 -I submitted a GRAMA request to the  Police Department, seeking a copy of the Police Report.

The Police said that Miss Shirley was not now nor has been under investigation by the SLCPD. Copy of GRAMA Request with Response

On that same day, I filed an Internal Affairs Complaint with the Police Department: Internal Affairs Complaint (PDF)

On September 26, 2014, the Salt Lake City Police Department provided me a copy of the report. Their explanation for initially being told that no report existed; because the report was designated as classified because of the national attention it was receiving.

When asked why wasn’t it un-classified on or after July 29, 2014 -once it was determined that no criminal activity occurred; the response was that it should have been.
