In the June 3, 2014 School Board meeting  , I questioned the wisdom of having to hold a school board meeting at Snowbird Ski Resort. I was told that being at Snowbird helps the school board get into a “different frame of mind” because this is our annual “planning” session.

Sadly their idea of the school board “brain storming” about the following year consist of the Superintendent dictating the annual schedule, which is a repeat of the one before. They did say “to call in” suggestions. I took a six hour (both directions) bus and train ride to hear that?

I believe that the school board could and should be having more substantive and constructive meetings, rather than the window dressing that goes on now. Its rat race.
