Superintendent McKell Whithers<\/p><\/div>\n

In the March 19, 2013<\/strong> School Board meeting the Superintendent broaches the subject of the legislative task force.\u00a0 In that meeting he gives the task force a negative spin:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026Senate Bill 169, Education Task Force, I\u2019m worried about that one, this is the one where essentially they are saying so what if the governor has an education excellence in education commission for the last three years, so what if senators and representatives have been a part of that, we think we should have our own task force\u2026the task force is legislatures only\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In the audio, you will hear me ask him for clarification about the purpose of the task force as he understands it. I did not share his conclusions that the formation of this task force would have the negative impact that he is suggesting.<\/p>\n
