The school board was informed over a year ago that there was an inequitable distribution of experienced teachers in the district.

The audio above, is a portion of the 01/03/2012 school board meeting where they were discussing student achievement.

In the audio above you will hear a portion of the meeting. The full meeting can be accessed on the districts web page.

In the audio above, the school board was just informed that “students in Title I schools have a five times higher chance of being with a marginal or ineffective teacher (see power point slide below).

Board President Kristi Swett responds:

“…what do you do, you get this information now and as a district what do we do?”

“Where are we empowered to make some of these changes?”

“Obviously this is a little alarming…but for the first time you see this in black and white, okay now what do we do?”

“I guess my being alarmed..what are some of the things we can do?”

OVER A YEAR LATER -THE SAME QUESTIONS ARE BEING ASKED -or AVOIDED
